Selling on Vietnamese marketplaces now costs roughly 23-24% of revenue and keeps rising — fee schedules changed at least four times across 2025-2026. Pricing by gut feel and subtracting fees afterwards is the most common way to sell for a month with nothing left. This tool works the other way round: start from your cost price and the margin you want to keep, and get the minimum price you must charge.
No email, no card. The cost price you enter is never stored.
This is the exact fee table the calculator uses, not a hand-written copy for the marketing page. Each line shows its effective date and links straight to the public announcement so you can check it yourself.
Lines marked * depend on your category or shop type — the number shown is only a starting point, enter your own rate in the tool. Optional programmes (Voucher Xtra, Freeship Xtra, affiliate commission, ads) only count when you switch them on.
Nothing hidden in a black box. These are the exact two formulas running, so you can check them on a pocket calculator if you want.
Minimum price = (cost price + flat per-order charges) ÷ (1 − total fee % − target margin %)
It has to be solved backwards because platform fees are charged on the selling price, not on your cost. Adding 20% to your cost does not produce a 20% margin — this is where hand-made spreadsheets go wrong most often.
Break-even ROAS = selling price ÷ contribution margin (contribution margin excludes ad spend)
Ad spend is excluded from the denominator because it is the unknown being solved for. If the order already loses money before advertising, the tool says outright that no ROAS can save it rather than printing a meaningless number.
Worked example: cost price 100,000đ, Shopee, 3% category fee, 15% target margin → minimum price 138,256đ. Each charge is rounded to the nearest đồng independently, so the price may be nudged up by a few đồng to keep the achieved margin from dipping below target.
Pick the marketplace you sell on and what you need: the minimum price for a target margin, or the profit at a price you already have in mind.
Enter your cost price and your own category fee. If you joined Freeship Xtra or Voucher Xtra, set affiliate commission or run ads, open advanced options and add them.
Get a line-by-line deduction table, profit per order, the real margin and your break-even ROAS — how many times your ad spend must come back as revenue before you stop losing money.
They are compiled from each marketplace's public announcements, and every line carries its effective date and source link inside the tool. Your real fee still depends on your level 2/3 category and shop type (standard or Mall), so treat the result as a close estimate and check your own category fee in Seller Center before committing to a price.
Yes, switched on by default at the goods rate of 1.5% of revenue (1% VAT plus 0.5% personal income tax) under Decree 117/2025/ND-CP. Services use a different rate (5% and 2%), and registered companies filing their own returns should enter 0. The tool only subtracts what the marketplace already subtracts — it does not give tax advice or file anything for you.
Selling price divided by contribution margin, where contribution margin excludes ad spend — because ad spend is exactly the unknown being solved for. If the order already loses money before advertising, the tool says no ROAS can save it instead of printing a meaningless number.
Not yet. Published sources on Lazada's fee schedule currently disagree with each other by a wide margin, and adding it now would mean handing you numbers we are not confident in. It will be added once a reliable source can be cross-checked.
No. The server receives the numbers, calculates and returns the result — no cost price, selling price or product detail is stored, even when you are signed in.
The fee table is updated by hand from the marketplace's announcements, and each version records both its effective date and when it was last reviewed so you can judge how current it is. An internal alert fires when a schedule has gone too long without review.
Fee figures are compiled by hand from each marketplace's public announcements, with the date we last checked them shown alongside — not pulled automatically, and not supplied to us by the marketplaces. Who is behind this tool
One calculation takes under a minute — far cheaper than discovering the loss a few hundred orders in.
